Dearest family,

This week has been another week of stuff and growth and more stuff and other stuff ugh.
SO after email last week, we all went and got haircuts, that was fun.
Then we went to Chili's because it was both of first ward elder's birthdays, then we went to a park and walked around super bored. Then stuff.

Tuesday we were on foot for the morning so we did some contacting...always fun and went to help a family move a fish tank. They got us really hot burritos from a local place, so good. Everything out here is like way hotter than the east coast foodwise. Then we started to work on a "harvest book" which is pretty much a little pocket size ward list split up location wise and way easy to find something to do in a pinch. Then had some more lessons.......nothing big.

Wednesday was district meeting new style, that was fun. Worked on the harvest book more. then we took a premie (pre-mission guy) out to some appointments to break him in, that was pretty good. We found out that this upcoming weekend we're doing a mini-mission type thing with the youth from our stake, so we'll see how that goes.

So i just looked through the rest of the week, and like really nothing happened. We've been working really hard and we got a new investigator. She's a grandma and shares a lot of beliefs with us. We taught her the first lesson and she committed to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it was true. That was really good. We talked a lot about families and how important they are. Then on Sunday it was Stake Conference and Elder Porter of the 70 was here. And our Stake Conference just like at General Conference was all about families, I'm starting to get worried lol. But yea, we've been working on strengthening people who may be having some struggles and just going forward to make things happen here.

But some of my thoughts from this week.
Some people think that we're out here to convert and change everybody to be what we think is right....which in a twisted way is semi-correct. Let's look at it this way. You go to a movie. It's the best movie ever, so you go out and tell your friends about it. That's what we're doing. Missionary work changes when you stop thinking about just teaching people or whatever and you start thinking about why you want to teach people, who they are (our family essentially) and what the gospel does for people.
I also am going to become and escatalogist...look it up lol...escatalogy
ThANK YOU MELISSA AND BEN FOR 2 LETTERS I GOT THIS WEEK.
AND THANK YOU GRANDMA'S FOR THE UPDATES!!!!
I couldn't go on without you guys.

Oh, I also had my first like legitimate lesson with a crazy person. Like we've talked to some weird people on the street, but we like sat down with this guy....o boy, it was fun. My favorite line was his closer, we're leaving, and he turns to me and he says "what are you doing on a mission, you should be down at the club hosing off some women...you got them pretty boy looks"...and i was just like....whaaat?!?!?! And then we ran away lol. But it was a good time.

SO.
I love you all
i hope you have had a good week.

Much Love
J
